John joined Northcoast Research in May 2009 as Managing Director and Research Analyst. Prior to joining Northcoast Research, John was an Associate and Senior Analyst at FTN Midwest Securities from 2003-2009. John and his team have developed an extensive network of industry contacts to draw from, including private automotive service operators, auction operators, automotive and powersport dealers and live event venue operators.
John has been recognized by StarMine in 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015 as a top 3 stock picker and earnings estimator nationally for both the Professional Services and Commercial Services & Supplies sectors. Recently, John has also been acknowledged by Institutional Investor as a runner up on II’s Best of Independents All American rankings for the Consumer sector. In addition to providing proprietary equity research and custom research data to institutional investors, John has been quoted and referenced by The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Bloomberg, CNBC, Reuters, USA Today, and a number of industry trade publications.
John earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from Xavier University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Cleveland State University.
